The Douglas Company is a dedicated group of professionals able to control costs, ensure quality, and complete construction projects on time. We serve a select range of industries including: Senior Living/Care (Skilled Nursing Homes, Assisted Living, Independent Living), Mixed Commercial, Multi-Family Residentials, and Sporting Facilities. Our typical construction jobs range from $500K to $20MM or more!
The history of our company is rich with pride, tradition, and success. The Douglas family has been actively involved in national construction projects for over 100 years. In September, 1976, we officially became The Douglas Company, specializing in the design/build construction process. We currently have offices in Orlando, FL and Suburban Toledo, OH. (Denver, CO office coming in 2013-2014).
We pride ourselves on team work, and that's what helps us build our construction jobs on an average 2 months faster than the posted schedule. The majority of the construction jobs we manage are negotiated, as we love to work with those that enjoy partnering with us.

Positions we generally recruit for:
- Sr. Project Manager: Requires 4 year degree, plus 8+ years of relevant experience as a Project Manager OR 3+ years of relevant experience as a Sr. PM in the Construction Industry
- Project Manager: Requires 4 year degree plus relevant experience as a Project Manager in the Construction Industry
- Project Coordinator: Requires a 4 year degree. Also know in some companies as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager
- Superintendent: Requires 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in the Construction Industry plus a High School Diploma or GED
- Project Accountant: Requires a High School Diploma or GED, and relevant experience with job cost accounting. 4 year degree is NOT required for this position.
- CO-OP: Requires a student to be in pursuit of a 4 year degree in the following areas: Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or a Construction related degree.
