Updated 5/30- We are currently seeking an individual that has proven experience generating prospective sales leads, developing a strong relationship with the leads, and establish commitments to become a client of The Douglas Company. This position will be based out of our beautiful Downtown Orlando office location, inside the Eola Park Centre building overlooking Lake Eola.
Position Synopsis
This position is responsible for bringing qualified negotiated opportunities to the company, maintaining positive relationships in the community, assisting the team with closing sales, and monitoring and coordinating of new market plans. Simply stated, this position is a sales based role with no managment responsibilities of others.

Competitive salary, benefits, and financial incentives are offered. Work will include up to 75% travel in the Florida region. Relocation to the Orlando area is highly preferred if not within a reasonable commute to our office location.

- Identify prospective clients through research, phone calls, networking, industry trade shows and face to face meetings to learn of their needs.
- Presenting and selling our “team approach” method of providing preconstruction and construction services to prospective clients.
- Develop and maintain a relationship built on mutual trust and respect with every potential client.
- Gain a commitment from the prospective client to work exclusively with The Douglas Company.
- Market to prospective clients through various types of promotional materials (print ads, flyers, email campaigns, etc.).
- Accurate record keeping of all client prospecting efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Required (Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration preferred)

Experience generating sales leads in the construction industry preferred.
- Experience generating sales leads in the Senior Living or Multi Family markets preferred.
- 7 years, or more, of proven experience in a Business Development role.
