We are currently seeking 1 experienced Project Superintendent who desires an exciting and challenging environment. Immediate openings are available based out of our suburban Toledo, Ohio Corporate Headquarters; qualified applicants must be able to work on a job site throughout the week. Our Superintendents are travel based, and we really do not have too much of a preference on where they call home; our general area of work is usually within a 200 mile radius of our facility. Superintendents are our eyes and ears in the field, and are heavily supported by our office based Project Management Teams. We pride ourselves on team work, and that's what helps us build our projects on an average 2 months faster than the posted schedule!
Position Synopsis
Our superintendent is responsible for the daily on-site management of construction for an assigned project. The Construction Superintendent must manage and coordinate the work of all subcontractors working on the project to ensure accomplishment of all of The Douglas Company objectives related to schedule, quality, safety, cost control and client satisfaction. Most of our projects are ground-up builds, and we build quickly to the highest of standards.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Management/Coordination of all on-site subcontractors
- Job site safety
- Carry out necessary on-site pre-construction functions
- Ensure project schedules are being carried out accordingly
- Documentation related to job site activities (i.e. saftey logs, daily reports, safety audits, etc.)
- Quality Control
- Cost Control
- Client relationship management
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 10+ years of on-site supervisory experience in the Construction Industry
- Ground-up construction experience required
- Healthcare experience preferred (Senior Living/Skilled Nursing/Assisted Living/Independent Living)
- Multi-Family experience preferred
- Wood-Framed construction experience preferred
Additional Information
