We are currently seeking an individual that has proven experience in leading the activities of a Construction Operations Department for a General Contracting firm. This individual must be excited to work directly in our Suburban Toledo Corporate Headquarters, which will require living in the greater Toledo area. Industry experience such as Senior Living/Assisted Living and Multi-family new construction is highly regarded.
 
Position Synopsis
 This position is responsible for leading and directing construction and estimating personnel as assigned, in the role of procuring and constructing projects in a quality, cost conscious, timely, and client friendly manner.
 
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
  • Management of a Construction Operations Department
    • Including staff development of office and field personnel
  • Macro-level management of Preconstruction/Construction activities within department
    • Including: on-time project starts, project schedules, project cash flow, project profitability, field safety, subcontractor relationships, warranty/closed job costs, dispute resolution, and client satisfaction.
  • Departmental planning and strategic goal creation
 
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required (Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management preferred)
  • Proven successful experience managing a Construction Operations Department
  • Proven successful experience training/developing both field and office staff
  • Proven successful track record of successful client relationship development activities
  • 15+ years of experience managing new construction projects
